Robert Reich: My Political Prediction for 2012: It's Obama-Clinton
My political prediction for 2012 (based on absolutely no inside information): Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden swap places. Biden becomes Secretary of State — a position he’s apparently coveted for years. And Hillary Clinton, Vice President.
So the Democratic ticket for 2012 is Obama-Clinton.
Why…
I said so a few months ago, but I’m glad Reich agrees. I would only add that Obama should, as a matter of strategy, get Clinton on board, not merely be thought to. From a liberal-democrat perspective, I must also say that the change won’t make any substantive difference whatsoever for the faithful, but rather effective in keeping the Romney-Christie ticket at bay.
